Jim was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and grew up in Jacksonville where he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1982. During his military service of more than 20 years, he became Section Chief/Senior Flight Mechanic on Air Force One and worked for the presidential administrations of George H.W. Bush, William Clinton, and George W. Bush. Jim traveled to 41 countries and was onboard Air Force One on 9/11. He retired in 2002, returning to Jacksonville with his three sons. Jim began attending Southside Baptist Church in 2002 and quickly became involved in student ministry, lived out his passion for missions, and served as a Deacon. In 2005, Jim married Vickie, and just like the Brady Bunch, they became one big family. Jim now serves Aspire Church as Operations Manager and looks forward to each new day of Kingdom work.
