Vacation Bible School 2026 — Illumination Station

Monday, July 13-17 | 8:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

At Illumination Station VBS, kids will be challenged to answer Jesus’ important question to His disciples, “Who do you say that I am?” As they explore all the ways light brightens, illuminates, reflects, and reveals, kids will discover that Jesus is the light who brings hope to a dark world.

Jesus spoke to them again: “I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows me will never walk in the darkness but will have the light of life.”

GATHER

No matter who you are, where you’ve been, or what you’ve done —you can discover the life God created you to live. Let us welcome you to a place you can call home. Find community. Connect. Serve. That’s what Aspire Church is all about.

GROW

We’re a multi-generational church aspiring to love God and people. Because nobody is perfect, we value progress, not perfection. We prioritize people over programs. And we live for relationships more than rules, remembering that Jesus is at the center of it all.

GO

We don’t measure success by our seating capacity, but by our sending capacity. Jesus didn’t call us to join a meeting, but a movement. So, we welcome you to join us on God’s great mission, whether that’s across the street or around the world.

Bridge the Gap

Bridge is an initiative focused on creating a lasting legacy by expanding Aspire Church’s reach in Jacksonville and beyond. It serves as a “bridge” to the future, the city, and the nations by investing in church renovations, engaging the local community, and making the Gospel accessible in every language spoken in Duval County. Join us in securing Aspire’s future while growing our community and sharing the Gospel across the street and around the world.

ASPIRE IN THE
COMMUNITY

Did you know there was a time in our history when the church met in the movie palace across the street? Eight decades later, we’re still located on the northeast corner of San Marco Square. Over the years, we have developed several amazing relationships. And though our steeple can be seen from miles away, what happens in our home community is essential.

  • Aspire Church has partnered with One More Child in many ways over the years– from building fences to packing lunches. One More Child provides Christ-centered help to hungry children, single moms, struggling families, and children who have suffered trafficking, neglect, and abuse. Some of our own families have served as foster parents and provided a safe place where a hurting child can experience the love of Christ.

  • Our faith-based partnership with Landon Prep began in 2010 and has served as a model for Duval County Schools. Many of our own students graduated from or are attending what has become one of the top middle schools across the county. Volunteers express the love of Christ to the Landon family through teacher appreciation events, mentorship, and scholarship opportunities.

  • Aspire Church is a longtime member of SMMA. From special events on the Square to shared public parking and lots of cool stuff in between, we are fully committed to being the best neighbor we can be to San Marco.

  • As DA’s faith-based partner, Aspire stands ready to help. We highly value the arts, consider DA students and faculty “our people,” and even have DA alumni on staff, including our senior pastor!

  • From celebrating the centennial of the Acosta Bridge to supporting San Marco by Design, our award-winning Neighborhood Action Plan for the historic district, Aspire Church San Marco is a ready partner for SMPS. In San Marco, we shop small and shop local. We “illuminate” the holiday season. And we love storytime in the Square.
